Quality management in healthcare SQU

Third International Conference of Quality Management in Healthcare, organised by the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital SQUH at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has been concluded successfully.

The first session included working papers on the improvement of quality and change of culture. The second session themed management of risks and safety measurement included seven working papers and the third on management of quality audit control operations.

500 participants representing healthcare institutions in the Sultanate, GCC and Arab countries, as well as prominent speakers form USA, Malaysia, Turkey, UK and Qatar besides the Sultanate take part at the two-day conference.

Second Pakistani University opens in UAE

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year. Previously Szabist University in Dubai was the only Pakistani university in the emirates. Abasyn’s Ras Al Khaimah centre is its overseas branch campus. AUS helps rebuild Iraq’s higher education

War-torn Iraq Sharjah: The World Bank and American University of Sharjah (AUS), will host tomorrow, Thursday, May 24, at Lecture Hall A, in the ground floor of the AUs main building, a training course for about 40 senior Iraqi education leaders, on strategic planning and quality assurance in higher education institutions.
