The Job Opportunities Exhibition 2012 (JOBEX), organised by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions(OITE), will be held from April 23 to 25 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. The exhibition aims to increase employment to Omani nationals by attracting marquee companies of Oman and the Gulf region.
A press release said that JOBEX 2012 will create a platform for interaction between prospective employees and managers of major companies. Under the directions of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, there has been a lot of importance given to enhancement of Omani manpower for the development of the country.
Muktar Mirza, project manager, JOBEX, said “In keeping with the theme of Omanisation, JOBEX 2012 aims at offering information, advice and opportunities to professionals interested in career development and for those who are considering a change of field and looking to develop and acquire new skills. It is an excellent platform for corporate organisations to boost their image and update prospective employees on the current trends in the job markets.”
The release said that JOBEX also aims at preparing suitable candidates for job interviews through assessment centres.
