Three Omani teachers will soon leave Oman for a six week
long training programme in teaching and education.
The American embassy, represented in the Cultural and Media
Attache in Muscat, organised a preparatory programme at the embassy’s
headquarters for three Omani teachers who will join in the ‘Excellence in
Teaching and Educational Attainment’ programme to be held in United States for
six weeks from February 3.
The programme is being organised under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the US and in coordination with the Ministry of Education in the Sultanate.
The teachers who will participate in this programme for the first time are: Hamid Al Jabri, Noura Al Kalbaniyah, and Fatma Al Alwiyah.
The training programme includes activities designed to achieve professional development for teachers of high school in English, social studies, mathematics, and science.
The US ambassador to the Sultanate congratulated the teachers during the meeting with them at the embassy for being the first group to join in the programme.
