MCBS, Oman offers BS Airport Management

Muscat: If you have a passion for Airport Management, you need not fly overseas to realize your dream. A college in Oman offers entry into this professional career. Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) provides program to the students with a non-flying professional career option within the aviation industry.

The students will study the successful introduction and ongoing management of airport operations. The program offers additional business subjects which are designed to increase the opportunities for employment within diverse management fields. This program provides students with the knowledge and skills required to deal with management problems in the aviation-related industries through exploring the inter-dependence between air-transport and logistics operations. 

All students willing to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Airport Management are required to successfully complete a total of at least 120 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0. Students are required to complete a total of 30 credits as Aviation Management Electives, 27 credits as Aviation Management core and 6 credits as Technical Electives. 

Degree requirements are divided into five categories: General Education (42 Credits),Business Electives (21 Credits),Aviation Management Electives (30 Credits),Technical Electives (6 Credits) and Aviation Management Core Courses (21 Credits). 

MCBS, Oman is slowly turning new leaves in the history of higher education landscape of Oman. First time an American University, Franklin University, starts its Management programme directly from the land of Oman. The MCBS have been honoured with an award for "Best Educational Institute in Management" by the World Education Congress Asia Awards 2011, global awards for excellence in education, leadership and teaching. 


MCBS is the first exclusive private college in the Sultanate of Oman and the first higher education institution to be licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and provisionally accredited twice by the Accreditation Council of the Sultante of Oman (OAC). MCBS has been affiliated to the University of Missouri , St. Louis, USA, since its inception in 1996.

Second Pakistani University opens in UAE

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year.
