UK Government's Emergency Planning College will soon open up a regional centre in UAE to train the local arabs on crisis and disaster management. College has gained the approval from the National Crises and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA) of UAE as a regional training center in the management of emergencies, crises and disasters. Emergency Planning College, UK provide expertise for professionals dealing with emergency planning, crisis and disaster management.
Mohamed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, NCEMA's General Manager received today the accreditation certificate in the presence of Christina Scott, Head of the Civil Contingencies Secretariat in the Cabinet Office.
Also present were Major-General Michael Charlton-Weedy, Director of Resilience Training and Doctrine in the Cabinet Office Civil Contingencies Secretariat, Shahwan Suroor Al-Dhaheri, NCEMA's Deputy Director General in addition to other higher officials.
Al Rumaithi hailed the support received by the authority from H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor and NCEMA's Chairman in various fields in the management of emergencies, crises and disasters. He also pointed out that the certificate grants NCEMA the right to design and implement specialized training programs in emergency and crisis management to government entities in a number of Arab and friendly countries.
