Indus' India Education show concludes

Fifth edition of the India education meet and seminar was concluded on a happy note on Wednesday, 17 January 2012 as thousands of students from Oman attended the show. Major choice of the students, most of them were Indian expatriates, were MBBS and various engineering courses.

University representatives from India visited various Indian schools to meet students to explain about the various opportunities available in India. They provided career counselling to students, counsellors(of various Indian schools) and parents.

The event was also being held across 16 countries including UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The show organizers Indus Fairs & Events(India) Pvt Ltd. Conducted the show with the help of Lynx Events, Muscat. The event is running from 1998 in various Gulf countries.

SRM University, Hindustan college of Engineering, CMR institute of Technology, (Bangalore), Rajalakshmi Engineering college(Coimbatore), Jain University (Bangalore), K.J. Somiya College of Engineering (Pune), Venkatesha Education Society's MVJ College of Engineering(Bangalore), Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management (Nagpur) were some of the colleges participating in the exhibition.

Second Pakistani University opens in UAE

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year. Previously Szabist University in Dubai was the only Pakistani university in the emirates. Abasyn’s Ras Al Khaimah centre is its overseas branch campus. AUS helps rebuild Iraq’s higher education

War-torn Iraq Sharjah: The World Bank and American University of Sharjah (AUS), will host tomorrow, Thursday, May 24, at Lecture Hall A, in the ground floor of the AUs main building, a training course for about 40 senior Iraqi education leaders, on strategic planning and quality assurance in higher education institutions.
