German students visiting Oman school

Nine students from Germany are visiting Oman as part of an exchange programme between Indian School Muscat (ISM) and Gymnasium IM Stift, Neuzelle, Brandenburg.

The programme, in its fourth year, aims to facilitate cultural and educational learning, said Achuthan Madhav, principal, ISM. The programme is expected to provide an opportunity to students to experience various cultures and become goodwill ambassadors of their countries. “Students learn to become more self-reliant,” said Madhav.

“The students are visiting various tourist locations, besides participating in mutual understanding programmes,” said Jana Winkler, a teacher accompanying the visiting German students.

“Under the programme, the students live in host houses, learn to share their beliefs and knowledge. This is an experience in itself which gives a better understanding of a culture and society,” she said.

The team of students also visited the German Ambassador.

Osmania University degrees "blacklisted" by recruiters in Gulf

Osmani University HYDERABAD: If you are a graduate from Osmania University(OU) , India, you may receive a blunt rejection from the HR manager of Gulf countries.
