Bangalore (India): The University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, might tie up with the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR), Canberra, Australia. They have sent a proposal submitted to Dr Ejaz Qureshi, the research programme manager of the Agricultural Development Programme for South Asia and the Pacific seeking collaboration in natural resources management, crop improvement and agriculture business development.
The varsity is in the process of signing an MoU with the government of Monitoba.
If the MoU is successful the varsity will have the necessary access to expersite to provide exposure in the food processing technology. Experiential learning opportunities for students will be created while establishing pilot plants for food technology centre and academic exchange programme for scientists.
This move was made during the visit of Dr Robin Young, project coordinator of Food Development Centre, Government of Monitoba, Canada in the month of February, 2014.
