Dubai: MENA College of Management is establishing its operations in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). MENA College is expected to commence their operations in September for the 2014/2015 academic year.
It aims to tap the growing demand of industries operating in Dubai by providing Bachelor’s degree programs in hospitality, health management and human resources sectors. MENA College of Management’s applications for the recognition of these programs are under the scrutiny of Council of Academic Accreditation (CAA) of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Hospitality, health management and human resources are the three major sectors where skill shortages have been identified. Dubai is planning to launch new projects in medical tourism sector. Lately, Dubai Government has kick started its plan to attract around 5 lakh medical tourists by 2020 generating AED 2.62 billion. So MENA Colleges Hospital Administration program is expected to play a significant role.
DIAC’s joint study with Deloitte found huge lacunae of skilled manpower in human resources sector. So it is believed that MENA College of Management’s new academic programs on Hospitality, Hospital administration, health management and human resources will be attracted more students and will have potential to create jobs in the respective area.
