Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi |
Many of the students who apply to study at Paris-Sorbonne University in Abu Dhabi do not speak French. Since all courses are taught in French and are identical to the courses offered in Paris (and often taught by the same professors) it is essential that students are properly prepared.
To be able to join the bachelor programmes, students have to be comfortable and fluent in the French language. So the University has kickstarted this Intensive French language course (24 hours per week).
These courses are scheduled every evening of the week 5pm to 8pm from Sunday to Thursday, 15 hours per week. This training is not as intensive as the training during the day (23 hours / week), but it allows students to pass the University Diploma in June, at the end of the academic year.
This diploma allows them to register for a Bachelor programme in French.
Students will have to succeed the 4 levels of FLE and pass the same exams as students of the day. They will also have notes of continuous monitoring. It is impossible to accept students when the year started, because there is only one level during the evening courses.
The fee is 20 000 AED per semester plus registration fees.
