Kerala once again has proposed a new dream plan on education
and here it is for creating a global hub of knowledge which provides world
class education. This new dream move is part of the Kerala Perspective plan
2030.
Plan is to create framework to address the challenges faced
by the education sector and to make the state a global hub of knowledge. The
plan report says the state is emerge as a key player to the global knowledge
network by 2030. And it is expected that Kerala will achieve a significant share
of the global market in education. The perspective plan 2030 was prepared by
the Delhi-based National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER). This
report was formed for the stating planning board.
The new strategy places education at the core of sustainable
prosperity. The report conceives education as a growth driving sector rather
than a social sector. There are effective strategies for the revamp of higher
education, vocational education and schooling.
To help the education system move up the ladder to match the
standards of the United States, Sweden, Canada, Finland and Denmark, a system
of life-long learning, new branches of knowledge are some of the major measures
mooted for improving the standards of higher education.
