Muscat, Oman: The information of these scholarships will assist Omani students studying in Oman or in other developed countries. Government also helps in migrating students for higher studies in international countries and neighboring Arab countries i.e. Jordan, UAE, Egypt and Kuwait. Miscellaneous universities and foundations also provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships, fellowships and other financial grants to Omani students. A wide range of disciplines are available for Omani students for upgrading their knowledge such as Nursing, Education, Commerce, Arts and Social Sciences, Economics, Law, Medicine and Health Sciences, Agriculture and Marine Sciences, Science and Engineering, etc.

RSM MBA Scholarships for Omani Students
Scholarships for Omani students are available for pursuing master degree programme at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Each scholarship value of 10,000 Euros will be waived from the MBA tuition fee. The application deadline is 14 October 2014 for January 2015 intake.

MBA Scholarships for Omani Students
University of Glasgow is offering MBA scholarships for Omani students commencing in September 2014. The value of each scholarship is £5,000. The criteria for the scholarships are academic excellence and personal achievement. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission. The application deadline is 1st July 2014.

Warwick IFP Anniversary Scholarships for Omani Students
Scholarships for Omani students are available for pursuing International Foundation Studies at University of Warwick in UK. There are 30 scholarships in total: 28 x £1,200 scholarships and 2 x £5,000 scholarships. Applicants have accepted the offer and paid the non-refundable course deposit. Applications should be submitted till April 30, 2014 and June 30, 2014.

MBA Full-time Scholarship for Omani Students
University of Strathclyde offers full-time scholarship for female students from Asia/Africa. One scholarship of £10,000 will be automatically deducted from tuition fees. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need. The application deadline is 31 May 2014.Scholarships for Omani students are available for pursuing master’s degree level at University of Strathclyde. 4 scholarships will be awarded. University has a number of Deans scholarships of up to £5000 each for highly experienced candidates. The deadline for applications is 31st May 2014.

ESMT Scholarships for Omani Students
ESMT European School of Management and Technology is offering partial tuition scholarships for Omani students for Master’s in Management program. The value of each scholarship is up to € 10,000. Scholarships are allocated based on academic excellence, personal and professional achievement, leadership potential and interpersonal skills. Application deadlines are April 7 and May 16, 2014.

Janssen Phamaceutica Scholarships for Omani Students
King’s College London & the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine are offering international scholarships for pursuing MSc in Global Mental Health. Each scholarship will cover full overseas tuition fees and a living expense stipend of £14,000. A strong preference will be given to applicants who are nationals of and have been ordinarily resident in low- and middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank) for the last three years. Consideration will also be given to exceptional applicants from other backgrounds. The application deadline is 1st May 2014.

INSA JRD-Tata Fellowship Programme

The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) offers fellowship programme for developing countries in India. About 10 fellowships are awarded annually. The maximum period of award will be for three months. Last date of submitting applications is 30th April 2014.

JIRCAS Visiting Research Fellowship Program for Omani Students

Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS) is offering visiting research fellowship program. The fellowship covers a period of one year starting from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. Applicants must have an adequate command of English and/or Japanese language. The application deadline is April 21, 2014.

POGO Fellowships for On-Board Training

Partnership for Observation of the Global Oceans (POGO) is offering a special visiting fellowship for on-board training on an Atlantic Meridional Transect (AMT) Cruise. Fellowship will be awarded for a period of two months. Candidates should be available to participate for the full period. The deadline for applications for the 2014 fellowship is 16th April 2014.

UCL Global Excellence Graduate Scholarships for Omani Students

Scholarships for Omani students are available for pursuing graduate degree level at University College London. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, achievement and potential. The scholarships consist of £5,000 and are tenable for one year only. Students must have received an offer of a place from the department by the final deadline of 11 April 2014 to be considered.

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year. Previously Szabist University in Dubai was the only Pakistani university in the emirates. Abasyn’s Ras Al Khaimah centre is its overseas branch campus. As a famed brand in Pakistan, the Abasyn University has campuses in Peshawar and Islamabad. Abasyn University is considered to be more affordable as it charges only Dh1,200 a month. This makes it more affordable than Szabist which charges Dh1,900, and Abasyn is significantly cheaper than other institutions. On average, university fees in the UAE start at about Dh25,000 a year. However, for anything science or engineering based, costs can rise
