New gen B-tech from Hindustan University

Delhi (India): Hindustan University, one of the oldest and biggest Universities in Tamilnadu, is coming out with a range of new B-tech programs in 2014. Most of these new B-tech programs are falling in line with emerging avenues of life.

Some of the offbeat programs are Aeronautical Engineering with specialization in Avionics, Automobile Engineering with specialization in Autotronics, Automobile engineering with specialization in Motor Sports Engineering in addition to specializations across streams including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Manufacturing Engineering to name a few. 


 Environmental Engineering under Civil Engineering, Distributed enterprise under Computer Science and Engineering, Cloud computing, Mobile computing under Information Technology, Engineering design and Material science under Mechanical Engineering are the other specializations.

In 2014, around 35 more specialized B-Tech programs are going to be stitched additionally with the programs of regular staples. Hindustan University authorities hope that these modern and advanced specializations will bring good job offers to the students.

The University comes under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 with the name Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) in the year 2008. Lately, Hindustan has got Star News award for industry related curriculum in MBA Aviation Management.

The student applying for the B-Tech program must be under 19 years of age and must have scored at least 50% average marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry put together under the curriculum prescribed by the Government. Application forms can be obtained from the admission office of Hindustan University Campus or can be downloaded from the website : www.hindustanuniv.ac.in

Second Pakistani University opens in UAE

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year. Previously Szabist University in Dubai was the only Pakistani university in the emirates. Abasyn’s Ras Al Khaimah centre is its overseas branch campus. As a famed brand in Pakistan, the Abasyn University has campuses in Peshawar and Islamabad. Abasyn University is considered to be more affordable as it charges only Dh1,200 a month. This makes it more affordable than Szabist which charges Dh1,900, and Abasyn is significantly cheaper than other institutions. On average, university fees in the UAE start at about Dh25,000 a year. However, for anything science or engineering based, costs can rise
