Educom overseas' Lebanon & Iraq International workshops

Educom Overseas' Lebanon & Iraq International Educational Workshops will be held from 29 February 2012 till 07 March 2012. In its fifth version, the March 2012 Educational Workshop involves so many school visits and one day workshop at Monroe Hotel, Beirut.

The Lebanon Educom Fair usually aims at:

- Bringing into direct contact the exhibitors with the Lebanese students enrolled at the Lebanese private schools (English or French as a second language) and International private schools (English as a second language ESL).

- Bringing into direct contact the exhibitors with the universities students, fresh graduates and professionals wishing to study overseas

Big market for UG courses

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Higher Education, around 600,000 students are now enrolled in private schools, double the amount attending public institutions.

For the postgraduate prospectus the situation is equally promising as on a yearly basis more than 29000 students (statistics 2011) graduate from the Universities operating in Lebanon and many find serious interest in furthering their studies overseas.

Second Pakistani University opens in UAE

Abasyn University RAS AL KHAIMAH, (UAE): One more Pakistani University has started its operations in Ras Al Khaimah with a mission to provide good quality affordable education for Pakistani families living in UAE. Name as “Abasyn University ”, the new educational platform will offer degree courses to the 800 to 1,000 pupils who comes out of Pakistani high schools in the UAE every year. Previously Szabist University in Dubai was the only Pakistani university in the emirates. Abasyn’s Ras Al Khaimah centre is its overseas branch campus. As a famed brand in Pakistan, the Abasyn University has campuses in Peshawar and Islamabad. Abasyn University is considered to be more affordable as it charges only Dh1,200 a month.
